NOA Climate scientists have recently predicted that

we are heading into an El Nino period of weather

patterns. An El Nino pattern means that there is a

movement of warm water in the west Pacific Ocean

replacing the cooler water in the east. The warmer

water pumps heat into the atmosphere causing

extremes in weather — from floods to droughts.

There is a 62% chance of this being a Super El Nino —

intensifying the weather. Added into this natural cycle

are global warming and the economic upset of the

Iranian war. All point to weather extremes ahead!

How best to prepare? Begin now with essential

repairs and tree trimming to mitigate strong storm

damage. Get insurance policies up to date and gather

important documents in a “go box.” Have a flashlight,
